Job Requirements

Formal Education and Training

University Degree in economics or in an engineering discipline or similar

Occupational Experience

Approx. 10 year’s experience in the management of production or production services (engineering, maintenance, LEAN and logistics) or approx. 3 years in the general management of a company.

Additional Knowledge Requirements

Excellent command of the English language, extensive Lean/CI knowledge change management experience, knowledge about the glass and/or home appliance industry desirable,

Basics in EHS

Optional: Six Sigma,

Major Duties

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall business management of the plant.

Especially:

• Oversees all facets of the plant and its business.
• Responsible for the plant profitability
• Promotes the future development of the plant based on the site strategy.
• Makes sure that goods and services are being delivered to the plant’s customers in the required quantity, quality, nd for agreed upon prices.
• Assures the development and implementation of improved production processes and administration procedures throughout the plant
• Budgets and optimizes the manufacturing capability and capacity
• Leads, supports and develops the employees in his area of responsibility.
• Represents the plant locally. Serves as the primary point of contact for local authorities, institutes and as the integration person for the plant’s employees. Ensures effective and positive cooperation with the local works council or union representatives.
• Assures the alignment of the corporate strategy with the site strategy.
• Lean-Manufacturing, promotes lean manufacturing and thinking throughout the plant
• EHS, ensures adherence to the legal laws, internal and operational guidelines on-site

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $100,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
