GDM – USA, has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Communications Assistant position. Come work for a company that is a reference in genetics throughout the world!

Position summary: This individual will fulfill a key role in the Marketing department as they will provide expertise and guidance in the planning, development and execution of the marketing plan and related activities. The Marketing Communications Assistant will have primary responsibility for the digital marketing component of the strategic marketing plan, and will liaise frequently with other departments, team members and outside parties.

Essential Functions

• 
  Planning & Strategy

• Understand and nurture strategic differentiation of the different brands, ensuring appropriate positioning
• Assist with preparation of annual communication strategies for core brands
• Coordinate with 3rd party marketing agencies to carry out marketing/communications activities as outlined in the annual plan
• Ensure brand identity continuity of communication and vehicles and materials
• Research market trends to identify growth opportunities

• 
  Digital Marketing

• Collaborate with the area manager, internal teams, clients, and partners to develop and execute digital marketing strategy, focusing on strengthening core brands
• Provide ing, analytics, and insights to enhance our digital marketing performance while identifying opportunities for continued growth
• Plans and maintains our brands’ social media presence on various platforms in accordance with best practices
• Maintain and strengthen brand websites, using SEO and content marketing best practices

• 
  Supporting Activities
• Collaborate with the commercial/sales department to coordinate the development, production, and delivery of promotional materials while maintaining brand identity
• Assist brands and licensing managers with event planning and execution; develop metrics to track and measure success
• Maintain appropriate shared calendars to support department objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing/communications, preferably within the agribusiness industry
• Knowledge of soybean farming/farming practices preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
