Job Description

Summary/Objective

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the organization’s strategy and execution of its IT related assets and processes. The IT Manager supports the implementation of computer systems to fulfill the organization’s information systems requirements, including but not limited to hardware, software, networking, cabling, database architecture, and ERP design and utilization. The position is responsible for peripheral equipment, networks, communications equipment, and providing support for users’ software and hardware needs.

Information Technology Management

• Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems
• Oversees the annual IT budget allocation and ensures cost-effectiveness
• Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
• Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
• Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
• Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information
• Facilitates IT security audits or investigations
• Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
• Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP)
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Systems Administration / Hardware (As Needed)

• Performs periodic updates of company systems, applications and data management tasks including imports, file conversions and other reports as requested
• Develops and maintains software and hardware inventory and tracking systems; develops inventory lists and orders, stocks and stores electronic components
• Provides all aspects of technical and administrative support in multiple ERP and CRM systems to internal staff either directly or through coordination with third party providers
• Assembles, installs, configures and tests computer equipment or units of local area networks requiring use of standard interface protocols
• Installs cable for phone system. Performs moves, adds, deletes and other changes for phone uses. Sets up calling features such as automatic call distribution (ACD) groups, pick groups, call processing and voice mail. Provides phone support and training to new users and solves miscellaneous phone problems
• Configures and sets up workstations to work with various programs; installs software. Performs preventive maintenance for computer, data communication and/or peripheral equipment; tests and adjusts to appropriate standards

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and move up to15 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 2-5 years experience in IT operations/management
• Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions
• MUST be proficient, (Intermediate to Expert), of MS Office with emphasis on Excel software and spreadsheet applications

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proficient with both hardware and software installations and closures including phone system administration
• Experience with Data clean up and manipulation
• Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce Software
• Experience with Budget and Vendor Management
