Shift : Monday-Friday 12pm-9pm

Job Summary :

Successfully match client freight with properly vetted carriers to optimize time, productivity and competitive rates. Utilize Transportation Management System (TMS) to broker, monitor, track and update the status of our client’s freight.

Support operations team and provide superior, professional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Display critical thinking skills and problem-solving capabilities while being goal oriented and KPI driven.

Strive to provide every client with industry-leading on-time delivery and best-in-class customer service at competitive prices.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Utilize TMS platform to support daily business operations.
• Negotiate rates and secure carriers for freight needing to be delivered primarily via the spot market.
• Oversee assigned freight from pick-up to delivery, providing real-time information to all stakeholders.
• Manage phone calls and emails as assigned per day while communicating details effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide superior customer service to both carriers and clients.
• Resolve problems for carriers and clients using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Participate in and contribute professionally to weekly team / company meetings.

Skills & Requirements :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-demand office environment
• Strong multi-tasking skills with ability to field a high call volume while working on a computer
• Strong negotiating and conflict-resolution skills
• Successful customer service and / or sales experience
• Experience in Freight Brokerage Industry highly preferred but not required
• A network of carrier and / or customer contacts highly preferred but not required
• 2- or 4-year College Degree from an accredited university preferred
