GB Catering Hiring for Human Resources Assistant Full Time

G.B. Catering is hiring a Human Resources Assistant to assist with our summer 2023 season! We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, a self-starter, works well under pressure and is not afraid of a challenge.

G.B. Catering provides contracted food services to children’s camps across Ontario. Our head office (where this position will work out of) is located in Huntsville, ON. For our summer season, we hire 100+ people (mainly students) to live and work on-site at our camps and prepare the food for the children & staff at camp. We are looking for someone to assist in the hiring process of our student staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources & Management Departments as delegated; including answering of phones, filing, word processing, faxing and photocopying
• Assist in the hiring process including booking & conducting interviews, reference checks, job offer correspondence and data entry
• Assist in maintaining & updating staff records
• Staff transportation as needed
• Maintain confidentiality in regards to staff information
• Assist in tripping food preparation as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License required
• A minimum of two COVID-19 vaccinations is required
• Enrollment or completion of a post secondary program, preferably, Human Resources Management, an asset
• Experience working with Mac OS an asset, including Mac Word & Excel
• Administrative/Secretarial experience an asset
• Strong written and oral communication skills are a must
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a must

Position Details:

• Anticipated length: May-late August/early September 2023
• Salary: $17.50/hr

Based on a 5-day work week. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
