Gaumard Scientific Hiring for Computer Vision Engineer at Miami, FL Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with engineering team to develop proprietary devices for medical simulation
• Develop image analysis algorithms
• Develop Deep Learning architectures to solve problems
• Design and create platforms for image processing and visualization
• Will work with embedded systems, c++, and camera/peripheral interfacing.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 2 or more years of experience in an engineering environment
• Ability to develop image analysis algorithms
• Proficient in the use of C++ and Python application development (specifically incorporating opencv and CUDA).
• Incorporation of CV application using limited power and computation budgets.
• Proficient in programming PICs and programmable electronic devices.
• Experience in embedded design involving Nvidia Jetson product line or similar
• Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment and open to new ideas
• Excellent project coordination and time management skills
• Quick learner
• Excellent troubleshooter skills
• Design and create platforms for image processing and visualization
• Analytical and critical thinker

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

• Experience with Pytorch or Tensorflow applications
• Familiarity with SPI, I2C, 232, 485 communication protocols and interface
• Familiarity with custom Linux distributions, including making custom Yocto images (networking, device trees, bitbake, custom layers).
• Familiarity with optics, including sensor and lens selectin and interfacing
• Experience working with humanlike robotic applications involving the writing of applications to control peripheral circuitry or mechanics in response to computer vision outputs, in real-time.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and must be willing and able to work overtime before or later than the regular shift hours. Some Saturdays or stay beyond scheduled shift if needed to meet business demands.
