Gateway Restaurant & Bakery Hiring for Baker Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Baker to join our busy team! The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented professional capable of following directions, working well in a quick-paced environment and following established recipes. This role requires working in a small kitchen with limited space and equipment and the successful candidate for this position has excellent communication skills, is highly organized and has the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Create an assortment of pastries and other baked goods.
• Operate a cash register and handle money.
• Use advanced baking equipment.
• Follow recipes.
• Learn new recipes.
• Communicate with customers and team members.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely.

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: $17.50-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Morning shift
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
• Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Killarney, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
