We are seeking to appoint a new Service Director of Education, Schools and Inclusion to provide exemplary leadership of its services, including education, admissions, SEND and learning and skills. Gateshead Council has excellent relationships with schools, and we are proud of the number of schools within the borough which have been judged good and outstanding, which is well above national average. We are also very proud of the high standard of education they provide.
You will be a key member of the Council’s Leadership Team and will be a highly visible, accessible leader. In return you will lead a talented team of managers and staff, all deeply committed to maintaining high educational standards and delivering the Thrive agenda to improve outcomes for the residents of Gateshead.
You will demonstrate strong strategic vision and lead the service towards achieving the Council’s ambition to deliver outstanding Education, Schools and Inclusion services.
You will have extensive experience of excellent partnership working and an ability to work successfully with all partners to improve outcomes for residents, communities, children and young people.
