Job TitleGastroenterologistLocationCaribbean Island (Full-Time, On-Site)Compensation$20,000 USDPosition SummaryA leading private tertiary-care hospital in the Caribbean Region is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to join its busy and well-established Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine practice. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled clinician with demonstrated expertise in both the diagnostic and therapeutic management of gastrointestinal and hepatology disorders. You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment supported by a modern, fully equipped GI practice, while enjoying an exceptional work-life balance in a beautiful island setting.Key Responsibilities•Provide comprehensive consultative and procedural gastroenterology care to a diverse patient population.•Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, dilation, and management of GI bleeding.•Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders, including complex cases.•Manage liver, pancreatic, biliary, and inflammatory bowel diseases.•Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans.•Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.•Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in line with international clinical standards.•Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, clinical audits, and evidence-based practice.•Provide patient education and preventive care counseling.•Supervise and mentor junior doctors and clinical staff as required.•Engage in continuing medical education and professional development activities.Qualifications•Board Certification in Gastroenterology (required) with an active medical license in good standing.•MD / DNB / DM (Gastroenterology) or equivalent from a recognized institution.•Minimum 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology (3–5 years preferred).•Currently registered with, or eligible for medical registration in the Caribbean region prior to commencing employment.•Proficiency in therapeutic endoscopic techniques and management of advanced GI conditions.•Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-focused approach.Skills & Competencies·Strong clinical and procedural expertise in gastroenterology and endoscopy·Excellent diagnostic and decision-making abilities·Clear communication and empathetic patient interaction skills·Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team·High standards of clinical ethics and patient safety·Commitment to evidence-based medicine and continuous learningCompensation & Benefits·Comprehensive health insurance coverage·Relocation assistance and visa support for international candidates·Continuing medical education and conference sponsorship·Modern clinical infrastructure and support staff·Excellent work-life balance in a safe, scenic Caribbean environmentApplication InstructionsEmbark on a fulfilling medical career in the Caribbean.
