Overview of the role

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Garrison you will take responsibility for end-to-end recruitment across the entire business, with specific responsibility for internships in addition. You will guide both directly sourced and agency candidates through the recruitment process, ensuring that they have an excellent candidate experience regardless of interview outcome.

You will enjoy connecting and collaborating with people both within the business and externally, selling opportunities to talented individuals whilst ensuring hiring manager satisfaction with every new hire. You will have a personable but firm phone manner, strong attention to detail and an enthusiasm and work ethic.

Key responsibilities

• Building pipelines of appropriately qualified candidates to fulfil recruitment requirements.
• Optimising job ads to attract as diverse a set of applicants as possible.
• Anonymising candidate CVs to ensure unconscious bias is completely removed from the early stages of the recruitment process.
• Working with the hiring managers to ensure hiring requirements are met.
• Managing relationships with third-party suppliers.
• Conducting salary benchmarking when required.
• Ensuring that each candidate has a positive experience, regardless of the outcome.
• Attending appropriate recruitment events and ad hoc project work.
• Creating and running the new offer process including offer paperwork and contracts.
• Become attuned to our company culture in order to identify the candidates that best complement and enhance it.

Skills and Experience

You’ll be perfect for the role if you have the following experience/skills:

• Experience of end-to-end recruitment process, managing direct and agency candidates.
• Ability to utilise LinkedIn for direct sourcing, as well as job ads and candidate referrals.
• Confident telephone manner, used to videoconferencing (Teams, Zoom) for collaboration.
• Strong work ethic with a collaborative approach.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to liaise with internal stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with precise attention to detail
• Adaptability – from time to time you will need to pick up things outside of your job remit.

It would be super useful if you’ve covered the following:

• Ideally experience of both agency and in-house recruitment.
• Exposure to an applicant tracking system (we use Workable).
• Experience of recruiting for a mixture of roles, both technical and non-technical.
• Prior experience or a keen interest in working for a cybersecurity/technology scale-up.
