Garfield Street Children’s Centre Hiring for Early Childhood Educator Job at Five Dock Full Time

About Us:

Garfield Street Children’s Centre is looking for qualified educators interested in Full-time work.

This role will be to join our team in Nursery (age 0 to 2).

Our service is licensed for 60 children aged 0-6 years. We have been owned and operated by our Director and Early Childhood Teacher for more than 25 years. We have an inclusive philosophy and programme.

We are seeking an educator who will work as a key member of our team and take on an equal share of all responsibilities within our service, including documentation; curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation; communicating with families; engaging in professional development; and participating in our community events.
Active participation in programming is expected and we ensure that adequate ‘off-the-floor” time is made available for planning, for observations and also for self reflection.

Our operating hours are 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications Required:

In addition to suitable and completed qualifications, applicants must hold the following certificates, training, and skills:

– Child Protection Training (standard in most Cert III or Diplomas)

– First Aid and Asthma/Anaphylaxis.

– Working with Children Check number.

– Good communication skills (including written, spoken, visual, electronic).

– Ability to implement and articulate the EYLF in program and practice.
