Come join our Elk Creek Elementary team! Garfield School District Re-2 is seeking a part-time General Education Paraprofessional for the 2021/2022 academic year. Garfield School District Re-2 proudly supports a four day student week!

Elk Creek Elementary is located in New Castle, Colorado, which serves as the gateway to the Western Colorado Rocky Mountains and is located along the Colorado River. New Castle is a charming community with strong values set amongst the beauty of the mountains.

This position is responsible for assisting the Classroom Teacher in daily responsibilities and providing support to the instructional program. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

Out of district experience is not considered for salary advancement. Out of district starting wage is: $13.00. Salary advancement will be given at the rate of 1.5% above the starting salary for each year in which the employee worked an average of 20 hours per week or more.

Salary and Benefits Considerations:

In-district-like experience for job transfers, in the same job level, will be given at the rate of 1.5% above the starting salary for each year in which the employee worked an average of 20 hours per week or more, consecutive years. In-district job transfers, changing to a new job level, will be given a horizontal move to that level for each year in which the employee worked an average of 20 hours per week or more, consecutive years. The in-district wage range is: $13.00 – $22.20
