Garden River First Nation Education Unit Hiring for Remote Administrative Assistant at Quebec City, QC Full Time

According to the Indian and Northern Affairs Canada Secondary Education National Program Guidelines, Garden River First Nation receives funding to provide students living on-reserve. The Garden River First Nation Education Unit, in accordance with Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), has developed these operating guidelines. The creation of this booklet is to provide the community with written procedures and policies followed by the Education Unit.

Our company is looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant to complete general office duties, assist other clerical staff in all departments with various tasks as outlined below. This role will provide an opportunity for advancement with training.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Excellent software skills. Candidate should have a higher skill set using MS Word as well as Excel and Outlook but not to the same extent as Word.
• Proficient keyboarding skills.
• Dictation experience an asset.
• Multi-tasking capabilities.
• Minimum of 2 years of office experience in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Answer telephones (a shared task with other clerical staff as necessary).
• Order office supplies and maintain general office area.
• Schedule meetings and update various schedules.
• Assist other clerical staff with various tasks.
• Assist senior management as necessary.
• Update various tracking spreadsheets.
• Filing.
• Other tasks as may be necessary.
