Gananda Central School District Hiring for Substitute Teachers (Per Diem) at New York State Full Time

The Gananda CSD is currently seeking per diem substutute teachers, teaching assistants and teacher aides. Substitute teachers must hold a 4-year degree or a 2-year degree and actively seeking a 4-year degree in education.

College students enrolled in their sophomore year and pursuing a degree in an education program may work as an uncertified substitute teacher. College students enrolled in their freshman year and pursuing a degree in an education program may work as a substitute teaching assistant or teacher aide only. Applicants should submit paperwork at least 7 days in advance of their desired start date.

As of September 1, 2021 the rate of pay for substitute teachers in our district is:

Certified Substitutes Days 1-20 = $135 per day

Certified Substitutes After 20 Days = $145 per day

Uncertified Substitutes (40 days maximum) = $120 per day

Teaching Assistants = $110 per day

Teacher Aides = $14.05 per hour
