GameDriver is currently hiring a full-time Unity Middleware Software Engineer. This role will focus on enhancing our patented test automation solution that works with video games, VR & AR built on Unity. This full-time, remote software engineering position earns a compensation package from $70,000 to $90,000/year (CAN), based on skills and experience.

This software engineering position enjoys a flexible, remote, work-from-home schedule.

The Unity Middleware Software Engineer is essential to the success of our company. Your focus is to enhance and improve GameDriver’s test automation software that works with Unity, and build full support for a variety of 2D, 3D, and VR use cases. You work within the GameDriver development team to integrate and debug GameDriver’s functions and features for Unity, and potentially other game engines. You will also serve as 2nd-level customer support and assist with innovating new testing methodologies for gaming and Immersive Experiences.

In addition to taking on challenging software engineering tasks, you keep open lines of communication as you work with internal QA/SDET to help complete documentation and demonstration of product use through simple use cases. You will also help to integrate GameDriver with various gaming platforms, including Windows, macOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox, iOS, and other platforms including VR and AR.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 4 years software development experience in a professional capacity

Background in developing software tools or working in a complex programming environment

Demonstrable experience with Unity.

Strong C# experience as well as a background in C++, Python, and command-line scripting

Comfortable working with low-level programming such as memory management, networking, IDE plug-ins, and debuggers

Strong DevOps and CI/CD-related technologies experience is desirable

Test automation framework experience such as Selenium, NUnit, Pytest, and/or experience with building test frameworks or infrastructure a massive plus
