Assistant Controller

GameChange Solar is the global leader in solar trackers and fixed-tilt structures with 6 GW sold. We are the fastest growing, most dynamic company in the solar arena and we are currently accepting applications for a Financial Controller to join our team in Norwalk, CT. The ideal candidate is passionate, creative, and a driven professional who wants to change the world by making solar energy affordable. Need to be comfortable balancing hands-on financial management with making senior level decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Assistant Controller Typical duties include:

· Month end close, including booking journal entries

· Monthly inventory reconciliation process

· Review / reconcile account balances

· Assist with regulatory and financial reporting

· Assist with the annual audit

· Assist with monthly / quarterly tax payments, including sales tax

· Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

· Assist with research technical accounting issues for compliance

· Oversee the accounts payables/ receivables processing

· Prepare and issue invoices for billing

· Tax and audit preparation to comply with all levels of government reporting requirements

· Assist with the development and implementation of internal control policies and procedures.

· Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

Assistant Controller Requirements:

· Audit background, ideally someone with Big 4 or similar experience

· 5 + years of similar work experience outside of public accounting

· CPA or CMA preferred

· Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures – GAAP

· Experience with creating financial statements

· Experience in Quickbooks and Netsuite

· Experience in steel, aluminum and hardware components inventory management desired

· Detailed orientated, professional attitude, reliable

· Ability to work independently

· Must command strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal
