Primary Function:

As a member of the Order Desk Team, ensures and maintains customer satisfaction with the product and services offered by the organization.

Job Description:

• receive customer orders by phone, mail or fax
• input orders into computer for processing
• print and check invoices for accuracy.
• process EDI orders and payments
• perform a variety of clerical duties, including checking inventory for product availability, provide delivery dates to customers, verify prices and filing.
• work in co-operation with other departments in a team environment
• maintain a good rapport with customers, sales reps and co-workers; provide assistance when necessary
• learn and maintain knowledge of company products and department processes
• reception relief
• other duties/special projects as needed

Requirements:

• minimum high school diploma
• must be computer literate, including working knowledge of Excel and e-mail.
• must be literate, posses excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• ability to work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail in all areas of work
• able to follow instruction & work with minimal supervision
• able to work efficiently, both as a part of a team and independently
• must posses good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
• good attendance mandatory
• must be able to work overtime when required
• strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• ability to follow directions
• follow the General Safety Rules and comply with the Ontario Health & Safety Act
• attend training and other meetings as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
