The role

We are looking for a new team member to join our growing team as Business Development Manager to drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, fostering client relationships, and promoting our services in the DevSecOps, Platform and Data engineering domains. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in Furō’s growth journey as we look to scale.

What you’ll do

Sales and business development

• Drive revenue growth by generating leads, qualifying prospects, and converting opportunities into sales.
• Develop and implement innovative sales techniques and strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximise profitability.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients, showcasing our capabilities and value proposition.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure a high level of satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Identify potential clients, establish contact, and lead negotiations to secure new partnerships and contracts.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and objectives, and tailor solutions to meet their requirements effectively.

Networking and Industry Engagement:

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to build brand awareness, establish thought leadership, and expand professional networks.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to DevSecOps and platform engineering, and incorporate insights into business development strategies.

Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the technology consultancy sector, specifically in DevSecOps and platform engineering.
• Develop comprehensive strategies to penetrate target markets and expand our client base.

What you’ll need

• Proven track record of success in business development and sales within the technology consulting or software services industry.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, platform and data engineering principles, methodologies, and technologies
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior technology stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business value propositions for clients, and employing active listening skills to understand client needs, concerns, and objectives, and tailor solutions accordingly
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse market dynamics, identify trends, and evaluate competitive landscapes in order to develop comprehensive business strategies, including market penetration plans, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches.
• Continuous improvement mindset, continuously identifying and actioning opportunities for improvements in all aspects of the role, as well as how we work at Furō.
