The Day-to-Day
Lead tax and business services consulting with businesses and trusts, processing tax compliance returns/calculations for complex tax scenarios – think multinationals, scale-ups, restructures, ESOPs, detailed cap tables, consolidated groupsDrive the firm’s overall budgeted billing and lodgment targets, including actively scoping billing opportunities/clients and managing month-end WIP analysis and billing proceduresConduct accounting, taxation and business advisory research and technical advisory work for clientsReview & provide detailed feedback on other team member’s workDevelop into a manager responsible for a portfolio and assist with team member performance evaluations and appraisalsHelp drive webinars and client/staff training, as well as assist with conferences, workshops, podcasts & articlesWrite & present technical tax presentations & articles for the firm online
Things we are looking for – you
Meet The Minimum Qualifications – You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 7+ years of experience in Australian Public Practice Accounting. 3+ years experience leading an online accounting team and Xero Practice Manager required. You have successfully completed CPA/CA studiesEnjoy Leading Others – You have a passion to inspire and mentor others while providing full guidance as their leaderHave a Passion for Accounting – You have deep knowledge of the accounting field, including extensive experience with best practices.Are a Tax Expert – You have an excellent understanding of tax technical issues – ideally consolidations, restructures, residency, business mergers & acquisitions. You are very knowledgeable about tax compliance within international situations regarding complex clientsAre Customer-Service Focused – You know that the customer is our #1 priority, and always go above and beyond to ensure their happiness.Thrive on Collaboration – Always with a positive approach, you act as a strategic thought partner, confidante and “go-to” person for your team.Have a Curious Mindset – You navigate ambiguity well and champion continuous improvement and innovative approaches to problem-solving when challenges arise.Are an Effective Communicator – Your ability to clearly and concisely communicate with others helps you easily connect with others and build relationships.Can Multi-Task Well – You have experience efficiently juggling day-to-day business needs while driving long-range projects and ensuring deadlines are meticulously met.
