Medicheck Australia forms part of the Fullerton Health Australia who are leaders in occupational health, allied health, general practice, integrative medicine, and emergency assistance and response.

Working closely with the Finance Manager (Primary Care) and in partnership with members of the Finance department, the Accountant is responsible for producing accurate management reports and meeting reporting deadlines for Medicheck Australia. The duties will be undertaken in alignment with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, and will based at the head office of Fullerton Health Australia on Melbourne Street, North Adelaide.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate monthly Manager reports and management accounts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly BAS and PAYG.
• Completion of end of month journal transactions.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with budget and forecast preparation.
• Assist with the annual audit.
• Assist with the integration of newly acquired clinics.
• Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Finance Manager (Primary Care).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Accountant role or in practice.
• Relevant formal qualifications (undergraduate qualifications at degree level in finance or accounting essential).
• Studying towards or completed CA/CPA (essential).
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to explain facts and issues clearly and concisely to colleagues, employees, and others, including those without financial knowledge.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Knowledge of SAP (highly regarded).
• Proven ability to meet targets and deadlines.
• Professional, friendly, and flexible approach to work.
• Reliable and Trustworthy with an eye for detail and full understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive data.
