Frulact Hiring for Fruit Production Machine Operator at Kingston, ON Full Time

The company offers custom-made fruit preparations for major players in the dairy, ice cream, pastry and beverage industries. Frulact is currently in a leadership position in the European, Middle Eastern and African markets.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to rules, procedures, safe work practices, health and safety standards and use of personal protective equipment
• Report and investigate all near misses/incidents/accidents resulting in personal injury or property damage
• Comply with Food Safety & Quality policies and procedures
• Ensure forms and checklists properly, completely, accurately and legibly filled out
• Maintain safe and clean work environment; follow area checklist for sanitation requirements
• Verify tools, utensils, pails and other components are cleaned prior to and after use
• Maintain traceability for all weighed raw materials and ingredients, ensuring batch #s and quantities are accurately recorded
• Carefully and accurately weigh out raw materials or ingredients according to production order forms
• Perform raw material processing (transformations) as per defined orders
• Allergen, Organic, and NGPV procedures must be strictly complied with
• Immediately report damaged or non-conforming raw materials, ingredients, or packaging to QC and Shift Supervisor
• Be willing to cross-train in different production functions as needed; required to train new or transferred employees
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or food industry setting considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail, problem solver, in a fast-paced environment; work effectively both independently and within a team
• Must be safety and quality conscious
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.; be able to stand, bend, lift, twist, and turn, for extended periods of time in a humid environment
• Must be available for rotating shifts and holidays as required
• Flexibility is needed due to business requirements; advanced notice will be given

Salary: $16.24-$18.27 per hour
