About The Role

We are seeking a talented Front-End Engineer to join our Web Presence and Platform team within the Expansion pod. This team is dedicated to creating engaging, high-quality digital experiences that attract new prospects and drive conversions. You will play a pivotal role in reimagining user experience moments that contribute to acquisition journeys, developing interactive tools, and building targeted experiences for our global user base. Your work will directly influence Stripe’s growth by enabling prospective clients to self-serve and self-select the most suitable products, thereby enhancing the overall customer journey.

As part of our collaborative environment, you will work closely with designers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to develop innovative web capabilities. Your contributions will help ensure that stripe.com and related sites serve as compelling first impressions for many users, reflecting Stripe’s commitment to excellence in design, functionality, and user engagement. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant web front-end development or creative technology experience at a product-driven company
• Proficiency in writing clear, maintainable, and elegant code within a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for developing engineering solutions focused on growth and enablement
• Experience with React, including interactions, animations, performance optimization, and polish
• Understanding of design fundamentals such as typography, layout, balance, and proportion
• Experience building complex interactive tools with state management and data fetching
• Familiarity with A/B testing, synthetic monitoring, or accessibility testing is a plus
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and tech stacks

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams to build innovative web features and experiences
• Develop beautiful, best-in-class end-user interfaces to solve complex problems and enhance user engagement
• Maintain and extend our design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across platforms
• Integrate web platform capabilities with self-serve authoring tools and experimentation frameworks
• Reimagine user journey moments to optimize acquisition and conversion processes
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
• Ensure high performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across all web experiences
