The Accounting Manager for Friedman’s Home Improvement will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations in a growing business. In this newly created role, the Accounting Manager will help scale our accounting operations as the Company grows, by analyzing financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements, along with ensuring appropriate internal control procedures are maintained.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage day to day operations of Accounts Payable, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition
Ability to mentor, train, lead and direct the work of the AP and Accounting teams
Prepare monthly GL account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
Develop, implement and maintain accounting systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines, actively reviewing and updating SOPs for all accounting processes
Develop analysis on financial results (actual vs. budget, trends, drivers, benchmarks)
Manage and comply with local, state, federal and international government reporting requirements and tax filings
Manage external audits by providing reports, reconciliations, scheduling and interacting with external auditors
Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis
Help identify cost saving opportunities across the organization
Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process
Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers through timely and accurate payment and response to inquiries
Drive to continuously improve the accounting and reporting process, identify and implement efficiency and automation across the accounting function
Assist with special projects, reporting and other duties as assigned
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance OR 6+ years of applicable professional experience
· CPA preferred
· Minimum of 4-6 years accounting experience
· 4+ years of people management experience
· A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required qualifications and skills is acceptable

Pay: $125,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
