Freson Bros., an Alberta-owned and operated fresh food retail chain, invites experienced retail operators to apply for the Grocery District Manager – Natural Foods position. Based out of the Freson Bros. Operations Office in Stony Plain, this position provides leadership to Store Natural Foods Operations teams and develops programs for implementation across all 16 locations.

• Ability to work in-office and travel to locations across Alberta
• Experience managing natural food retail operations is preferred
• Natural Products Advisor certification is preferred
• An affinity for natural foods and a healthy lifestyle is required
• Most importantly, the willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development

Role & Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor company-wide Natural Food programs and procedures
• Manage the sourcing, purchasing and logistics of Natural Food products
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential vendors
• Assist Director, Centre Store on new product initiatives
• Provide Natural Food and Store Management teams support to:
• Achieve weekly, segment, and yearly targets (sales, budget, productivity, etc.)
• Manage day-to-day operations
• Resolve inventory and operational issues promptly
• Train new Natural Food Team Members
• Implement product recall procedures
• Create and monitor merchandising initiatives including planograms and merchandising programs
• Regular visitation to store locations to provide assistance and ensure compliance with operational standards & procedures
• KPIs: Production costs, labour utilization, in-store program results

Position Details:

• Position Type: Full Time
• Work Environment: In-Person, Stony Plain Operations Office
• Travel: 40% (company vehicle provided and expenses covered)
• Salary Range: $55,000-65,000 annually
