FRESENIUS Hiring for Engineering Lab Intern at New York, New York, US Full Time

PURPOSE AND SCOPE :

As an intern with Fresenius Medical Care, a student will apply classroom based knowledge to workplace experience and will benefit from learning experiences in their major area of study.

Candidate will support FMCNAs mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. u00A0 u00A0Additionally, they will adhere to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and division / company policy requirements.

We are looking for a candidate to fill our open Engineering Lab Intern position. u00A0This position will take place during the spring semester as well as the summer.

u00A0Candidates would need to commit at least 20 hours per week (between 9 am and 6 pm weekdays) onsite at Renal Research Institute (RRI) in NYC.

u00A0 u00A0(Candidate is required to be a current student and maintain their student status during the duration of their internship)

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

• Design / develop testing protocols and conduct rigorous laboratory experiments in a Research and Development (R&D) environment aimed to evaluate various sensors
• Post-process data and analyze results in order to develop recommendations for further testing
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentations u00A0
• Prepare presentations to communicate findings and conclusions to other scientists, engineers, and management
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION :

Actively pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline, (Masters students preferred). u00A0

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS :

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel

Basic knowledge and experience with data and statistical analysis

Basic computational and programming skills ( MATLAB , Python, others) . u00A0

Excellent oral and written communication skills. u00A0

Detail oriented and results driven. u00A0

Independent time management skills.

Previous laboratory experience preferred. u00A0
