We’re on the hunt for a talented Freelance Copywriter based in Canada (remote) with a natural flair for words, a strong grasp of storytelling for audio, and excellent organizational skills. About the Role:
As a freelance copywriter, you’ll be responsible for writing clear, compelling scripts and copy for a variety of formats including voiceover ads and digital content. You’ll work closely with our production and creative teams to develop content that’s engaging, on-brand, and tailored to our audience.
At the moment, we are looking for freelancers to work on a per-project basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and edit original audio scripts in both French and English
- Translate written ideas into conversational, listener-friendly audio
- Receive client-provided copy points and turn them into compelling scripts that follow brand voice and best practices
- Adapt messaging for different tones, platforms, and audiences
- Work under tight turnaround times while maintaining high quality
- Meet deadlines and manage feedback with professionalism
What We’re Looking For:
- 4–5 years of experience as a copywriter, ideally with experience writing scripts for audio ads
- Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written)
- A solid understanding of Canadian cultural context and colloquialisms
- Proven experience writing for audio (podcasts, radio, voiceovers, etc.)
- Ability to write conversational, engaging content
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Familiarity with script formatting and voiceover pacing
Bonus Points:
- Background in advertising, storytelling, or audio production
- Experience working with remote teams or international clients
