Job Overview

Logistics associates assist in the management of an organization’s logistics systems. They coordinate the shipment and distribution of goods, inspect goods and materials, track shipments, manage inventory, and communicate with third-party services.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assisting with the entire logistics process
• Maintaining accurate inventory of all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Scan packages and process shipments
• Inspect products for defects and damages
• Counting stock and keeping inventory records.
• Prepare orders by pulling materials, packing boxes, placing orders in delivery area
• Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs
• Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Reviewing and verifying product details like price, weight and other labelling essentials
• Pack items securely and effectively to minimize breakage.
• Build and wrap pallets securely · Aid in the cleaning and preparation of machines
• Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Pack sold items properly and ship in a timely basis per policy.
• Ensure that incoming and outgoing inventory and shipments are as secure and well-organized as possible.
• Assist other team members when needed to meet schedule
• Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills
• High attention to detail
• Great communication skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods of time and climb ladders.
