Fraser Steel is located in Albertville, Minnesota – 20 miles northwest of Minneapolis on I-94 and minutes from major cross-country transportation routes. Our 80,000 square foot design and fabrication facility has over 30 major work centers. In a normal year we produce more than 2,000 unique items. Some 200,000 parts per day roll off these production centers into Fraser Steel’s “grocery store” Logistics staging area.

Job Description

Fraser Steel company is looking for a part time experienced data entry clerk in our purchasing department. This is a manufacturing setting. This position is lots of data entry. You would be navigating customers website. In the purchasing department you would be researching on where to get material, searching for best price, cutting orders, and following up on open orders.

Essential Functions:

• Create, copy and distribute purchase orders and purchase order information to manufacturers and internally as required– including revisions
• Track/Confirm that outstanding purchase orders are on schedule as planned and communicate delays or problems as early as possible to maximize problem solving possibilities
• File purchase orders, requisitions and miscellaneous processing slips in appropriate locations
• Distribute requisitions to accounting department and requestor
• Enter data for quotes into a computer system and file quotes
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
• Any other related tasks as deemed necessary by management

Qualifications

• -High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• -Microsoft Excel and Word experience
• -Good communication skills
• -Enjoy supporting other co-workers and clients
• -Attention to detail
• – Experience in data entry in a manufacturing setting

Schedule:

• 1:00p-4:00p M-F
• 15 hrs
