POSITION: Teaching Assistant
LOCATION: Chateaugay Central School
Duties
- Provide instructional services to students under the general supervision of Teachers
- Plan, implement and evaluate instruction and pupil performance as specified (by the IEP where appropriate), for individual and/or groups of students
- Plan and implement specified parts of the daily schedule of topics of the curriculum
- Maintain standards of behavior for students using behavior management techniques which enhance the students’ development toward independence
- Plan and implement remedial instruction when necessary
- Perform various clerical and related duties assigned by the Teacher and Administrator
QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant
STARTING DATE: ASAP
SALARY: $23,468 (2023-24 Base Salary) Consideration for additional salary may be granted based upon education and experience
BENEFITS: Membership in the appropriate retirement system, health insurance, sick and personal leave
