Franchised Automotive Dealership Hiring for General Sales Manager at Lexington, NE Full Time

A large auto group in Central Nebraska is looking for a Sales Manager to lead one of their Ford, CJDR operations. This is an established store with a large repeat customer base. Very fast-paced do whatever needs done store. The owner is actively involved in this particular store on a daily basis. We are looking for a stable mature personality that enjoys a busy working environment.

Some process and procedure is expected but it is not a high pressure, rigidly-structured environment.

Part of a 5-group operation covering 8 brands with a very large inventory.

We are not looking to reinvent the wheel at this location, maintaining current volume and current profitability are key as the previous GSM was promoted to a partner in a new dealership acquisition by the group.

Responsibilities

• Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
• Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
• Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
• Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
• Present sales, revenue and expenses s and realistic forecasts to the management team
• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

Skills

• Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
• Strong business sense and industry expertise
• Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills

Salary range is $100,000+ for the right candidate.
