The HR Assistant will provide an HR administrative service for all weekly and salaried HR systems including the recruitment, induction, attendance, internal movement, and termination of staff. They will provide standard and ad hoc HR management information and reports. They will deliver to managers and staff a first class HR service and be proactive in bringing in their own ideas to help continuously improve our service.
The successful candidate will have worked in either a similar HR position or has worked in a administrative position within a FMCG or manufacturing environment who is looking to develop a career in HR. This is a fast paced role, where you need to be adaptable, organised and have excellent stakeholder skills. Ideally they will also have experience of change management and have the ability to influence at all levels.
This is a growth opportunity on site and we will support the successful candidate in pursuing the CIPD Qualification.

This is where you come in…
As the HR Assistant you will manage the On boarding of new employees by creating offer letters, employment contracts and new starter packs. You will keep the HR systems updated and accurate by processing employee grade and job changes. Also you’ll manage the absence notification line and associated absence documentation. Along with utilising the systems and absence information to produce accurate payroll information on a weekly basis.
You will support Recruitment by posting jobs and managing responses to candidates. Also you’ll deliver first day inductions for New Starters, Coordinate the administration of probationary reviews and document all actions and liaise with Managers to ensure completion of probationary reviews. Creating and updating employee Personal Files in accordance with Data Privacy Regulations.
As the HR Assistant you will handle employee and HR Manager queries in a timely and effective manner, Providing day-to-day HR Support to Managers and employees. You’ll ensure Staffing Announcements are communicated to the relevant people. Report absence & calculate overtime payments before sending to SSC and collate weekly payroll administration for onward transmission to Central payroll function.
You will work as part of the larger HR Team supporting the HR Advisors and HR Managers with various tasks and Ad hoc project work as required. Both self generated as well as delegated by HRM and HRA.
