Applicant Requirements:

Property Management: 2 years

Position Summary: Manages the books for a specific list of properties or clients. Responsible for the integrity of all reporting that is sent to clients assists Property Management division as it relates to the activity and analysis of the account, and ensures all monthly bookkeeping tasks are completed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

General Accounting Duties

• Records and prepares journal entries such as revenue and expense accruals, depreciation and amortization entries, mortgage payments, management fees, insurance amortization, and others as needed to prepare financial reporting
• Audits management fees, balance sheet, general ledger, bank recs, & cash flow
• Research issues on the balance sheet and income statement
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supplementary reporting
• Review generated financial statements for accuracy
• Ensure expenses are properly categorized
• Ensure all owner and resident fees are accurately charged in a timely manner
• Comply with special reporting lender requirements as appropriate
• Develop budget assumptions and variance analysis assistance
• Process owner/investor distributions and contributions
• Manage Security Deposit funding & refunds
• Reconcile property bank accounts
• Communication Responsibilities
• Ensure clients are receiving statements and reports on time
• Offer to assist clients regarding their financials and answer questions
• Forecast and communicate property cash flow needs in advance
• Property Management Assistance
• Assist in delinquency management from time to time
• Package and send files to collections
• Assist in turnover planning and execution
• Be willing to work extended hours during turnover periods
• Assist in the Security Deposit Reconciliation process
• Ability to remain flexible during turnover season
• Additional duties assigned by the Director

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
