Four Seasons Hiring for Residence Finance Generalist Job at London, England Full Time

MAIN SCOPE OF DUTIES:

The Finance Generalist is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in maintaining the general ledger. Additionally, the Finance Generalist is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in supervising other areas within the Finance Department, as directed, including purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, following all related local and corporate policies and procedures. The residential structure and finance operations may vary, and responsibilities will be adapted as required.

RESIDENCE TEAM WORK:

As part of the residence team in a Four Seasons standalone residential property, you will have a unique opportunity to define and establish the operating model for stand-alone Four Seasons Private Residences. It is anticipated that we will be able to create unique opportunities to deliver service excellence but this will require agility and flexibility in our roles in the service of our homeowners. The candidate must be very attentive to detail and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• A university degree in Business, Finance, Accounting is desirable and/or an equivalent experience.
• Strategic, analytical and solid business acumen.
• Working knowledge of hotel/residential systems and operations.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Having the fundamental knowledge of accounting, credit and debits is unnegotiable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Working knowledge of Excel is a must as well as a sold mathematical aptitude and well-developed problem-solving skills.
• Birchstreet experience is preferable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to prepare and deliver reports, invoices, effective presentations and excellent customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams, negotiate for resources and influence stakeholders and to gain acceptance of and commitment to plans, ideas, initiatives.
• Ability to be flexible and willingness to assist other departments if needed.
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask
• Highest level of integrity and transparency.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure without losing quality and attention to detail.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist the Finance Manager in reviewing contracts.
• Manage the compliance of all contracts in the contract database with the assistance of Cap Gemini
• Prepare billing arrangements and follow up on deposits and prepayments.
• Ensure all payments are made correctly and with the correct authorization (approved PO), evidence of receipt, invoice or delivery slip and Accounts Payable stamp
• Verify prices, quantities and extensions against purchase order as required, and initial the invoice when verified.
• Bring any discrepancies to the attention of the Finance Manager.
• Verify that all invoices are supported by duly approved purchase orders when required, signed receiving documentation and/or the approval of authorised management personnel.
• Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledger up-to-date.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Director of Residences.
• Maintain a harmonious and professional relationship with co-workers, supervisors and all departments
• Prepare month end reconciliations as directed by the Finance Manager
