We are seeking a Finance Director to join Four Seasons Building Products, a thriving national manufacturing business.

As part of the Western region team of Four Seasons Building Products, a national leader in outdoor living products, you will work report to the Group CFO supporting the West Region management team, working in a dynamic environment, analyzing business performance, preparing forecasts and budgets, and exercising cost and capital controls of the business. This position has high exposure to the business’s top management team as a key member of the West Region team.

Four Seasons Building Products is one of the largest manufacturers of outdoor living products in the USA, with over $150 million in annual sales across 20 locations nationwide. The West Region includes 8 locations and includes factories in Buena Park and Ontario, California, as well as satellites in major cities throughout the western US.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management of the overall business, including responsibility for general accounting (including month-end financials), costing, financial reporting, and budgets/financial goals.
• Identify business issues and proactively initiate analysis (labor, material usage, spending and capex).
• Maintain strong working capital and cash flow management, including coordination of cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
• Creating and coordinating preparation of financial statements, reports and information reports (e.g. trend analyses, KPI’s, etc.).
• Developing, implementing and improving on divisional financial procedures and processes aligned with the parent company.
• Establishing and maintaining good internal controls environments.
• Ensures compliance of accounting records with US GAAP, and relevant state, local and federal reporting requirements.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred), with 5+ years’ experience in a lead finance role within a manufacturing company, preferably within a job-costing environment (metal fabrication or similar).
• Important skills/talents include results-orientation, excellent business judgment, strong written and spoken communication, demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Management talent to Lead by example with well-developed leadership skills, able to lead a team with clear vision and expectations, and to work well up and down the organization.
• High ethical values and practices and integrity
• The ability to think, plan and execute tactically and strategically to react to a changing business environment
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and lead & get results through others. Project management leadership experience a plus.
• A sense of urgency with drive to perform at a high level
• Solid background in manufacturing cost accounting
• Experience with budgeting and capital planning in a manufacturing environment
• Strong familiarity with large-scale ERP (Syteline / Cloudsuite Industrial a plus) and excellent Excel skills
• Experience with acquisition integrations and systems migrations
• Ability to perform limited travel (15-25%) to West region locations
