Library Assistant

We are a friendly, highly professional and supportive team who are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Library Assistant to join us in January 2022. The post is for 10 hours per week to be agreed. The salary is Grade B level 1 – £18,562 (Full time equivalent)

The successful candidate should be prepared to support learning across the primary age range. The post will involve working in partnership with class teachers and Learning Support Assistants and supporting groups and individuals in using our library to its maximum potential.

You will:

• Possess good English and maths skills, Grade A-C GCSE or equivalent.
• Have good administrative skills.
• Be professionally discreet and able to respect confidentiality on particular issues.
• Have well developed interpersonal skills, working as a proactive team member in meeting the needs of our children.
• Be cheerful, flexible and have the ability to work under pressure.
• Have the ability to cope with the physical element of the job.
