About the client:

Our client is a locally owned and operated Civil Construction company located in Chinchilla. Their dynamic team provides Project Management, Structural Foundation, Earthworks and Road Works, Drainage and Stormwater, Fencing and Plant and Labour Hire Services across the Surat Basin and the wider Queensland areas within the Mining, Gas and Civil Construction industries.

About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced HR Advisor to support the team during their rapid growth phase and beyond. Reporting to the leadership team, this role will deliver a high level of HR support with a focus on project ramp-up initially with ongoing HR support. You will provide HR advice and guidance whilst assisting with the ongoing maintenance and implementation of HR policies and processes. You will also manage any performance management and employee relations issues, transfers, recruitment and redeployment activities.

About the role:

• Deliver a full range of HR services to including employment relations, industrial advice, recruitment and succession planning, performance management, compliance, training and development and injury management.
• Provide advice and leadership to managers in the resolution of team issues including performance management, grievances, and investigations.
• Facilitate (in person and virtually) HR related training programs to managers on recruitment, performance management and employment relations.
• Employment contracts preparation, and change of status side letters for new and existing employees.
• Manage non-work-related and work related injuries, including Workers Compensation management and administration.

Skills required:

• Degree level qualification in Human Resources or related field
• Experience in a similar role within the mining and civil construction industry is preferred
• Ability to build effective interpersonal relationships at all levels across the business
• Demonstrated ‘hands on’ approach and a high attention to detail is essential
• Solution focused with strong influencing skills
• Excellent stakeholder management, engagement and communication skills

Due to the nature of this role you must be located in Chinchilla (QLD) or be willing to relocate.
