Senior Software Developer

Work Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday

The Strategic Planning Systems team is looking for a new Senior Software Developer to aid the development of their in-house mine planning data processing and management systems.

We’re looking for a highly motivated developer who is excited to learn new domain knowledge and extend their already significant development skills.

As part of a small team, employ an agile process to rapidly deliver high quality, highly technical features to our user base of engineers and scientists.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Implementation, testing and maintenance of software in C++, Python, C# and Typescript
• Development of new algorithms for efficient processing of spatial and geological data
• Help drive the development of our products with new and innovative ideas
• Technical support for the team and user base
• Collaborate on the team technical roadmap and schedule

Technical:

• Demonstrated expert level skills as a software developer in (at least 2 of) C++, Python, C# and Typescript
• A history of work experience in one or more of our focus areas including 3D visualisation, data management, geological data processing, and optimisation/linear programming
• Excellent written and spoken business and technical English
• Experience in both desktop and web application development
• Experience in high performance computing (parallel, GPU computer etc.) highly valued
• Flexible approach to work and a demonstrated ability to pivot quickly

Qualifications:

• Solid references from previous employers
• Exposure to mining would be beneficial
• Degree in computer science or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in software development
