Summary/objective

Patient Access Manager is committed to improving access and service to our customers through the oversight of scheduling and registration processes.

Essential Functions

• Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of providers’ time and resources
• Oversee the registration process for patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is collected. Coordinates the pre-registration, check-in and check-out processes.
• Assess and adjust staffing as needed to ensure appropriate coverage for all areas
• Ensure patient wait times are kept to a minimum through staffing, training and process improvement
• Provide an excellent patient experience and serve as an initial point of escalation for patient concerns
• Communicate effectively with providers, administrative staff, and other departments
• Prepare deposits and oversee point of service payment collection
• Works on strategic projects as assigned
• May cover shifts when necessary

• Strong customer service skills to provide a positive experience for patients and visitors
• Experience in supervising and managing front desk staff and/or scheduling
• Maintain knowledge of current practice information per policy/procedures

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work effectively in a collaborative environment

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Monitor staff performance
• Reviews and approves timekeeping and monitors attendance, following company policies and procedures
• Regularly meets with team to provide practice updates and process improvement training

Work environment

• Typical hours between Monday – Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm

Travel Required

• Local travel required to all Forté clinic locations in central Indiana

Required Education And Experience

• High School diploma required
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience within a medical office with 2 years minimum in a management capacity
• Familiarity with and experience utilizing

Preferred Education And Experience

• Associates or Bachelor degree in related field preferred
