We are seeking a highly skilled, energetic, customer-focused and dependable clinical assistant to join our busy clinic team. Position is responsible for a wide variety of clinical and clerical duties.

Essential Functions

• Assist patients to/from clinic areas
• Assist physician assistants and ATC during office visits and/or scribe into the EMR
• Input and retrieval of PHI into EMR
• Conduct preliminary patient evaluations
• Communicate information with patients as directed by physician or PA
• Provide appropriate patient education regarding injuries
• Schedule patient surgeries and obtain surgical clearance as needed
• Manage and prioritize phone calls and electronic communication
• Schedule patient testing and obtain prior authorizations

Requirements

• Prior clinical experience in a busy physician practice is required.
• Must have previously worked with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Must consistently demonstrate excellent customer services skills, handle high patient care volume well on a daily basis, multi-task effectively and be highly organized.
• Medical terminology, front office, and orthopedic experience highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required with appropriate certification.
• ATC or Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Available to work Monday – Friday days
• Position is full-time, 40 hours per week and is eligible for a full benefits package
