Fort St. John Association for Community Living is Looking for Support Worker Full Time

The Fort St John Association for Community Living (FSJACL) is a non-profit agency which has been providing quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities in the Fort St John and District since 1960. The FSJACL is an accredited agency with a trained, caring and trusted professional team of over 80 employees who provide quality services and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. The FSJACL works collaboratively with community partners to achieve our vision of inclusion for all.

We are looking for specific attributes and the right personality with the Fort St John Association for Community Living.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge, understanding and willingness to learn about developmental disabilities, mental health and health services
• Commitment to anti-racism, anti-oppression and equity
• Problem solving skills
• Flexibility and creativity
• Able to work shift work
• Provide a positive, respectful and safe work environment
• Compassionate towards people and can support in a non-judgmental way
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Double vaccination for Covid-19 is a job requirement.
• This position requires BCGEU membership
• Wage is $25.05 per hours and 10.6% paid on all hours worked in lieu of benefits
