Mayo Private Hospital and Forster Private Hospital are acute hospitals located in the

stunning Manning Valley Great Lakes region on the Mid North Coast of New South

Wales. The hospitals operate a total of 148 beds and offer a comprehensive range of

specialties, including surgical, medical, mental health and allied health services.

Due to continued growth at these two Mid North Coast facilities, a full time vacancy

now exists for a Finance Officer.

The Finance Officer is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager:


In the provision of financial plans, reports, advice and forecasts to the Executive

and Department Managers.


With preparation of monthly and yearly accounts through the provision of timely

and accurate financial data and information.


To administer and monitor the annual Capital Expenditure budget allocated to

the Hospital.


To provide input into any changes in financial management practices and

systems.

The successful applicant will be an IT savvy person with a proven understanding of

general accounting concepts and must possess strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Essential criteria:


Minimum of 2 years experience within a financial environment


Commercial experience in dealing with financial reports, data and financial

systems including general ledger input.


High level of computer literacy


Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Desirable criteria:


Tertiary qualifications in business or finance disciplines


Experience within the Health Care Sector


Knowledge/experience of health funding pertaining to private/public health

sectors


Exposure to ERP based finance systems
