This is a remote position and can be located anywhere within Canada, although Vancouver preferred.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of employment regulations and employment practices in Canada as well as the U.S. , strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. In this position, you will help to improve processes, and develop and promote Forsta’s values.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consult with managers to provide HR guidance in areas including onboarding, employee relations, company policies and terminations.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding organizational policies, benefits and processes.
Participate in the development and implementation of initiatives pertaining to performance management, employee relations, training and development, benefits, etc.
Administer/assist with the employee onboarding process in partnership with the Coordinator, People Team.
Handle employee relations for assigned groups in partnership with HR Director and Legal as appropriate.
Partner with the Global and North America People Teams on People Team initiatives and projects.
Work with Legal to maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Assist Manager HRIS/Benefits with benefits administration.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
3 + years of diverse HR experience within Canada, including employee relations, performance management, legal compliance, and benefits
Experience supporting both US and Canadian employee populations. Experience support employees in California is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Experience with HR information systems, knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is preferred
Bachelor’s Degree required
