Summary of Functions

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, engage with our target audience, and generate qualified leads. This role requires a strong understanding of digital marketing tactics, proficiency in using various online platforms and tools, and the ability to analyze and optimize marketing campaigns for maximum effectiveness. This role requires a strong proficiency in website management and knowledge of IT principles to ensure the website’s smooth operation and optimal performance.

• Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to enhance the company’s online presence, reach the target audience, and promote our services.
• Monitor website analytics, including traffic patterns, user behavior, and conversion rates, and provide insights to optimize website performance and user experience.
• Manage the routine maintenance and updates of the company website, ensuring its smooth operation, uptime, and user experience.
• Create and manage digital advertising campaigns across various platforms such as Google Ads, social media channels, and industry-specific websites.
• Conduct thorough keyword research and implement SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and increase website traffic.
• Monitor and analyze website and social media analytics to identify areas for improvement, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate s on marketing campaign performance.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging content for the website, blog articles, social media posts, and email campaigns.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, new digital marketing tools, and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of digital marketing practices.
• Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and benchmark digital marketing efforts against industry standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and project management, to align digital marketing activities with business objectives and support lead generation efforts.
• Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, and contractors to execute digital marketing campaigns, including graphic design, video production, and content creation where needed.
• Assist with optimization and maintenance of company CRM system.
• Assist with cloud-based project and employee data management system maintenance.
• Maintain internal employee portal.
• Perform additional assignments as directed.

Experience/Education

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
• Proven work experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist or similar role.
• Two plus years of relevant Marketing experience, with a focus on website management required.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.
• Company will provide additional training, as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.
• Strong understanding of website performance optimization, including website speed, mobile responsiveness, and user experience.
• Knowledge of IT principles and awareness of website-related technologies, including domain management, hosting, security protocols, and DNS configuration.
• Proficiency in using web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track campaign performance, analyze data, and generate insights.
• Advanced knowledge of SEO and the ability to create and effectively manage organic search campaigns through content augmentation.
• Analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for campaign optimization.
• Content Marketing – should be familiar with content marketing as well as provide suggestions on audience targeting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of increasing online presence through high-quality backlink generation, press releases, guest posting, and other initiatives that elevate status and brand exposure online.
• Website CMS skills including administration and content publishing responsibilities, as well as WordPress.
• Awareness of CRM systems, Salesforce preferred, and ability to refine system as needed.
• Excellent computer skills including knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365, Office, Outlook, and Excel.
• Good oral and written communication skills, along with use of independent judgement and creativity applied to resolution of issues.
• Highly proactive and responsive to internal and external customers.
• Ability to take direction and perform successfully both independently and as a team member.
• Good problem-solving skills/decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated high-level attention to detail.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks to meet all deadlines.

Primarily an office position. At time site visits and field project visits are required. Travel to offices and projects in various location around the country as needed. The following physical activities or abilities are commonly, but not always, associated with site visits.

• Be able to stand or walk on a project site for extended durations.
• When on project sites or if performing some types of work activity wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, earplugs, protective eyewear, gloves, hard hat, steel toed work boots, and high visibility safety apparel.

Work Environment

The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting and occasionally outdoors at construction sites.
