Forethought Hiring for Head of Business Development at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Full Time

About the Role

As our Head of Business Development, you will play a key role in developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy by fostering current and lapsed client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

You will be at the forefront of growing and driving revenue growth whilst managing existing revenue within our consulting team. You will also have an integral part in taking new offers and innovations to market.

• Build and maintain a strong business development program of work, all whilst coaching, training and mentoring senior colleagues in the business to achieve targets and goals.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive sourcing strategies and networking. Provide personalised experiences and go-to-market strategies, working closely with the Marketing Science and Consulting teams and propelling the business utilising our Innovation Hub.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, track sales performance and associated data to identify areas of improvement whilst managing the entire sales process from lead generation to contract closure.
• Represent Forethought at networking and business events to build our brand and expand our reach.

About You

What you will bring to the role:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and revenue generation, with a proven track record of success in the Market Research industry.
• Proven experience developing new business in APAC, preferably with already established contacts.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience building and leading high-performing sales teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Ability to travel across Australia and internationally to countries within APAC.
