The Districts administration centre is Bank House, Coleford in the heart of the Forest of Dean, with a secondary office at Haldon Forest Park near Exeter. Operational delivery is through 12 local forest beats and 3 recreation hub teams, with local offices as far afield as Bodmin and Ludlow in Shropshire.
You will be able to accurately undertake financial processing for invoicing, cash account, ordering and related financial transactions.
You will be tasked with communicating and working closely with the relevant beat foresters and Recreation hub managers, delivering work to a high standard, accurately and timely.
Forestry England provides full training within a friendly and supportive team.
The successful applicant will have a GCSE in Maths and English, or a finance / accounting qualification to demonstrate aptitude with numbers, data entry and financial processing.
Responsible for inputting and checking all cash income and expenditure for the West England District accurately
Process Invoices, Purchase orders and other financial transactions.
Support timely, accurate issue of operational contracts, maintenance of contracts.in close liaison with the relevant beat forester or recreation hub manager.
Work closely with Direct Production Harvesting to provide administration support using FC software to accurately input, process and manage timber sales contract information and raise invoices.
Maintain contract files and archive on completion.
Other administrative duties, including reception and telephone duties, general office duties to include some cover of reception and telephone duties
The work is fast paced and varied, it requires good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work under your own initiative.
Experience of financial transactions and collection and collation of data is desirable.

Final selection will be via a standard interview and will be held at Bank House Coleford. The interview will assess the listed Behaviours.
