Responsibilities
As part of the Global HR team, this role reports to the HR Business Partner for UK, Europe and Middle East and will support the effective delivery of a first-class advisory service to FRA’s staff, in all territories; managing end-to-end employee life cycle issues and changes as well as involvement in a variety HR Projects. This generalist role is for a true HR Practitioner with experience across the full spectrum of People issues, with particular emphasis on employee relations and recruitment.
Principle duties
Play a key role in the design, delivery and implementation of People projects, providing operational input to ensure that initiatives are fit for purpose and embedded in the organisation
Nurture a positive working environment by embedding the company culture and values in the implementation of all people related initiatives, including recruitment and social media resources in order to portray the organisation as an employer of choice
Support legal compliance of all in-country HR processes and procedures and providing pragmatic, best practice guidance to managers and employees to resolve issues
Act as the key contact for management of the recruitment and selection process, including making improvements in the end to end on-boarding and exit processes
Develop and sustain strong business relationships with key stakeholders to become a trusted advisor, coaching and supporting as appropriate, in the development of business and people initiatives
Manage the benefits renewal process and make recommendations to senior HR personnel on the relevance, uptake and any potential changes to cover and provider
Assist with the implementation of high quality and consistent HR initiatives, policies and procedures, in collaboration with global HR colleagues, and in consideration of local employment law, and any European works council requirements
Continuously seek to identify ways to improve current practice and suggest more efficient ways of working, escalating any potential risks to management, as appropriate
Support the delivery of a calendar HR processes such as performance calibration, pay review, HR budgeting, areas of HR support such as talent management and learning and development
Support the performance enablement process and engagement through advice, guidance and coaching of managers and employees
Coach and develop HR team members to improve their HR understanding and capability on an ongoing basis
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Degree in Human Resources, Organisation Development or CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personal Development) certified or equivalent experience
Recent experience of recruitment and best practice at all levels
Experience of delivering a wide range of HR deliverables including drafting contracts of employment, offer letters and other relevant paperwork
Excellent up to date understanding of UK employment legislation and ideally a working knowledge of US, other European or Dubai employment legislation
Demonstrable employee relations experience gained in a fast paced environment
Professional Services or Financial Services experience would be beneficial
Detailed working knowledge of using HR systems and other digital tools to better enable our employees and to support them in their roles
HR Project Management and implementation experience would be beneficial
Good knowledge of using data and quantitative approaches to develop reports for decision making
Recent IR35 experience to support review and implementation of external contractor agreements
Ability to build rapport quickly
Confident advising managers on all aspects of people management
Excellent team player with a pro-active approach and willingness to help others
