Plant Operator

Plant Operator Job Duties
The Plant Operator will oversee all aspects of daily operations of the assigned site. They will be responsible for following all developed structures and systems used to maximize safety, environmental stewardship, quality of work, productivity, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Commit to continuous learning and development in the field of anaerobic digestion, biogas upgrading, and emotional / social intelligence.
• Commit to and follow all plant safety procedures and policies.
• Coordinate projects with outside vendors, perform maintenance and safety checks routinely on all facility equipment.
• Complete daily checklist on equipment / systems.
• Monitor inlet pressures and outlet pressures of gas upgrading equipment.
• Collaborate with other operators and Maintenance to solve unit problems and troubleshoot plant issues.
• Switch trailer high pressure hoses and grounding between the two trailers.
• Monitor HMI and plant production equipment, adjust as needed to keep systems within defined ranges.
• General plant preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is operating efficiently to provide longevity.
• Ensure plant site is kept in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
• Document daily records of readings for all processing equipment and ensure optimal level of production.

Requirements and skills

• Ability to work both remote and on-site with little to no supervision.
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, inventory and stewardship processes.
• Computer literacy.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform work at heights above 50 Feet.
• Willing to be on-call to address plant alarms and emergencies.
• Will need to perform periodic service activities outdoors in both extreme heat and cold.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour
