You’ll have…

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of automotive industry, or related field, system engineering experience
• 2+ years of automotive industry, or related field, design and release experience

Even better, you may have…

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 4+ years of automotive industry system engineering experience
• 4+ years of automotive industry design and release experience
• 2+ years of manufacturing plant launch experience
• Experience in Ford WERS/AVBOM/AIMS/eFDVS/GPDS/Integrator systems desired
• Working level knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD AUTOSAR and Cyber securities
• Proactive, self-motivated, and attention to detail
• Strong teamwork, organizational, oral communication, and written communication skills
• Strong leadership skills, able to effectively interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Proven ability to handle multiple assignments with competing priorities
• Minimal travel expected (supplier sites for design reviews if required, battery assembly build sites if required).

What you’ll do…

• Support engineering unit and vehicle deliverables for next generation power supply components systems that will support Fords next generation vehicles.
• Work with supplier to develop communicate requirements for the new power supply components that will be storing and transforming energy.
• Define and maintain requirements for the power supply controls, power supply components and those components that communicate and control the to all the modules using electrical loads.
• Develop power supply level and its components DFMEA including implementations to manage severity and/or occurrence
• Define test plans to validate all requirements and functional performance
• Coordinate cross-functional solutions across component Design & Release teams to achieve power supply system level and component requirements and objectives.
• Support all quality documents required for manufacturing builds, PPAP, shipping, labeling, test requirements, etc.
• Interface with Architecture team Battery test team to validate all requirements and key functional performance.
• Troubleshoot power supply component and in-vehicle systems
