Foray Golf Hiring for ASSISTANT DESIGNER NYC: Women’s Active at New York, New York Full Time

Seeking an organized, detail oriented Assistant Designer for a fast growing women’s fashion forward Golf, Sport & Athleisure brand.

We are looking for a Fashion Design Assistant who is interested in gaining exposure to all facets of working within a design team including Photoshop touchups, creating prints, compiling line sheets, CAD sketching as well as note taking and organization.

Our ideal candidate would have an Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field. Candidate must have strong knowledge of garment construction and experience in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, Word and Photoshop is required. Must have a creative sensibility, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, have a good attitude and an open mind! The ideal candidate would have a passion for contributing to an entrepreneurial and creative environment.

We are looking for a team player who will help research/identify trends, applicable details, styles, themes, mood boards, create flat sketches and tech packs to build the collection. Other responsibilities include: concept boards, provide assistance when needed, act as a liaison to local factories alongside the product development team, attend and participate in fit sessions and take detailed notes.

Requirements/ Skills:
– Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design preferably with an interest in graphic design.
– 1 year + experience preferred.
– Excellent communication skills. Needs to be very clear and concise.
– Exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
– Experienced in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Excel
