Private plastic surgery office seeks professional, polished, kind individual with a innate gift for people skills, for the position of back office/clinical assistant, patient chaperone, and other key responsibilities. Candidate will have primary responsibilities; but also, be cross-trained and involved in most all aspects of office responsibilities.
A naturally friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and *strong work ethic* are essential. This position will work closely with the one surgeon in the practice , and be a key contact/liaison for clinical matters between the surgeon and his patients. Much of these responsibilities will be undertaken with close MD supervision and training.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
Assisting surgeon with in-office procedures/surgery
Managing medical supply stock
Communicating with patients having clinical questions, and relaying information directly to the surgeon
Learning how to and taking over running office surgical instrument sterilization (trained my MD)
Chaperoning surgeon during patient consultations and office procedures on office clinic days
Point-person on official office social media accounts
Staying up to date with input & proper labeling of office patient photos for patient charts and insurance preauthorization requirements
Eager willingness to step in as part of the office team to “get done” what is required to maximize smooth execution of excellent patient care
